The JUJUTSU KAISEN manga can be summed up as follows:
Yuuji is a genius on the field! Unless you count the fact that he has no interest in taking part in extracurricular activities. He decides to live alone after joining the occult research group, but when the new scent is presented at school, everything is flipped upside down.
The Jujutsu Kaisen () manga series was created by Gege Akutami and originally appeared in Japan. It has been released in Weekly Shnen Jump by Shueisha, a young adult manga magazine, chapter by chapter every month since March 2018. Its chapters will have been assembled and released in a total of 21 tankbon volumes by December 2022. The main character in this book is a high school student named Yuji Itadori. To end the world’s terrible curse known as Ryomen Sukuna, of which Yuji becomes the host, he is enlisted by a mysterious gang of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School by Akutami was first serialized in Shueisha’s Jump GIGA from April to July 2017 before being collected in a tankbon volume that was eventually released in December 2018 under the retroactive title Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The follow-up to the series is called Jujutsu Kaisen. It was produced by Akutami.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has been available in print since December 2019 thanks to Viz Media, which has the rights to publish the English-language edition of the series in North America. Shueisha makes the series available in English, and it may be read on the Manga Plus website. One of Ballad Kitaguni’s novels was published in May 2019 and again in January 2020. Kitaguni wrote both books. The 24 episode anime television adaptation, which aired on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021, was produced by MAPPA. Crunchyroll has given the anime permission to be streamed outside of Asia, and the first episode of the English dub will debut in November 2020. In April 2021, the anime’s original music became a retail item. The second season of the program will premiere in July 2023.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga had more than 70 million copies in circulation as of August 2022, making it one of the manga series with the most overall copies sold. Even without taking into account companion books, digital editions, or Jujutsu Kaisen 0, this figure places the manga series among the top ones that have ever been published.
Synopsis
All living creatures emit a form of energy known as Cursed Energy, according to Jujutsu Kaisen’s teachings (, Juryoku). The negative emotions that easily flow through the body are thought to be the source of this energy. Most people find it difficult, if not impossible, to control the flow in their bodies. As a result, they continue to lose Cursed Energy, which causes the creation of Curses (Japanese: Noroi), a race of spiritual beings whose primary objective is to harm humanity. These catastrophes are portrayed as terrifying creatures with malicious motives.
Jujutsu Sorcerers (, Jujutsushi, lit. “Cursed Technique Masters” or “Shamans”) are people who have the ability to regulate the flow of Cursed Energy within their bodies. This allows them to control how they use Cursed Energy and controls how much of it is released. High-ranking Curses and Sorcerers are able to harness this energy and use it to perform Cursed Techniques (Jujutsushiki), which are frequently specific to the individual or their family. You might use the energy itself to carry out these procedures. A more advanced version of the Cursed Technique is the Domain Expansion (, Ryuki Tenkai) technique. By using this approach, practitioners create a pocket dimension with adjustable size. Once inside the domain, each of their attacks will instantly link with one another and gain power.
Plot: Sendai high school student Yuji Itadori is extremely physically fit. As he sits on his deathbed, Itadori’s grandfather gives his grandson two bits of advice that will change his life: “always help others” and “die surrounded by others.” The opening of a rotting finger talisman by Itadori’s friends in the Occult Club made Itadori the target of the potent Ryomen Sukuna Curse. Curses were attracted to their school as a result of this behavior. Itadori’s activities placed Megumi Fushiguro and Itadori’s other pals in risk. All sorcerers must immediately cast an exorcism spell against Sukuna as he is a malicious entity (and, by implication, Itadori). Itadori is brought to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School by Megumi’s teacher Satoru Gojo with a request to his superiors: put off Itadori’s execution and train with Gojo until he consumes all of Sukuna’s fingers to end the Curse. Itadori is brought to the school by Megumi’s teacher Satoru Gojo after he notices that Itadori can keep control of his body. A group of cursed spirits are preparing a multifaceted assault on the world of jujutsu sorcery at the same time. The cursed spirit Mahito and a depraved sorcerer named Suguru Geto, who was executed by Gojo a year ago, are both members of this organization. The headmaster of the Kyoto school asked that Itadori be eliminated right away during the jujutsu contest between the Tokyo and Kyoto schools. Others, though, including Gojo’s classmate Nobara Kugisaki, back his efforts to preserve Itadori’s life.
